Sometimes you want to have a tasty snack without wasting a lot of time in the kitchen. You can go to fast food restaurant and order some burgers there. What if you can prepare a nutritious and healthy cream cheese-stuffed hamburger with a minimal effort? It will taste just as good or maybe even better! All you need to do is to cook it devotedly using a sous vide technology.
Ingredients
Serves: –+
- Fresh ground beef 1 kilo
- Sesame buns 5 pcs
- Salt 1 tbsp
- Ground black pepper
- Cream cheese
- Sunny side up eggs 5 pcs
- Parsley 1 bunch
- Leaf lettuce
- Sliced tomatoes 2 pcs
- Sliced sweet onion 1 piece
- Olive oil for frying
Method
-
Set your sous vide heater to 56.1 degrees and let it warm up the water to that temperature.
-
You'll need to make as many minced meat patties as the number of guests who are eagerly awaiting the promised juicy sous vide burgers. Try to make the patties of the same size. Then lightly press them down to make them flatten. This way they'll match the bun and be easy to bite.
-
Season patties with salt and pepper to your liking before packing them in a bag. Don't get carried away! It's easy to oversalt meat and it will taste bad.
-
Pack each patty in a separate bag! Make sure that air is completelu pumped out of the bags. Otherwise they will float around in a cooker. Then immerse the bags in preheated water and leave them there for an hour.
-
When the patties have been poached for an hour, take them out and pull them out of the bags.
-
Heat the olive oil in a pan and lightly brown the patties on both sides. Fry each side for at least a minute until a delicious crust.
-
It's time to make burgers! You have sliced tomatoes and onions already, so lay out the ingredients on the bun layer by layer the way you like it. We suggest you to do as follows: first, put the lettuce leaves, then the patty, some parsley, tomato, onion, egg and then a spoonful of cream cheese. You can easily add your own ingredients too. For example, chop the bell peppers and place them between the patty and greenstuff. Cream cheese can be easily replaced with whizzed cheese or a low-calorie mayonnaise sauce. Let your imagination run wild!
